Job Description:

  • Accounting/Family Office Associate
  • Condor Capital Wealth Management, a fee-only registered investment advisor recently named one of the best places to work in NJ, is seeking an entry-level professional (1-3 years of job experience) to fill an open full-time Accounting/Family office associate position at our firm.
  • This position will expose the chosen candidate to many aspects of accounting and the family office services profession.
  • Training will be provided as required, but the candidate must have excellent writing, computer, and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain internal financials for a few entities that share some common ownership.
  • Maintain family office client financials and issue reports.
  • Process bills for the company and clients in bill pay software
  • Reconcile bank accounts and accounts payable and receivables.
  • Complete tasks and projects as requested by clients and management
  • Assist with and write up research reports to present to management.
  • Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements and other financial statements according to established procedures in a timely manner.
  • Operate accounting software to record, store, and analyze information.
  • Prepare, review, and distribute quarterly statements and billing invoices to family office clients
  • Provide clerical and administrative support.
  • Calculate and present intercompany allocations.
  • These activities involve heavy use of the higher functions of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Telephone communication with clients will be necessary from time- to-time to follow-up on outstanding items, but cold calling is NOT a part of this job.
  • While the duties of this job are fairly well-defined, we offer a dynamic work environment and there is opportunity for a well-qualified candidate’s responsibilities to grow.

Ideal Candidate Skills/Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree from 4-year institution with strong GPA.
  • Accounting majors are preferred, but all will be considered.
  • Excellent command of the written English language is necessary.
  • 1-3 years relevant job experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related business productivity tools.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a timely fashion.
  • Mental acuity to work independently, but also function in a team environment when the situation dictates.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate information in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Experience with the Sage, and Quickbooks software is preferred, but not required.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
