Family Office Accountant

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries related to investment and operating activities for various entities
- Prepare journal entries related to partner capital activity in investment partnerships
- Reconcile cash, holdings, and investment transactions for investment partnerships
- Input and document valuations of the outside fund and private equity investments and fixed-income securities
- Reconcile allocation of P&L and management and performance fees among partners in investment partnerships
- Refine financial statement preparation and tie-out processes
- Document various accounting processes (e.g., investment valuations, technical accounting matters, reporting tools, accounting systems, internal controls, etc.)
- Design and/or modify recurring financial statements and other reports
- Assist with annual financial statement audits and agreed-upon procedures
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Intellectual curiosity and learning agility
- Discretion and professionalism in managing sensitive information
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with Tableau and SSMS a plus
- Familiarity with SS&C Advent Geneva and SEI Archway accounting software a plus
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
- CPA license required
- A minimum of two years of accounting or finance experience required
- Minimum of one-year public accounting experience preferred
- Experience with the investment management industry preferred
