Responsibilities:
- Continuously improve a robust fund and security research process that is transparent and well-documented, primarily in relation to equity and bond mutual funds and ETFs
- Manage a global fund portfolio of equities, bonds, private equity, precious metals, and cash
- Propose initial investments, with discretion to re-size existing positions
- Execute all fund subscriptions and security trades
- Develop relationships with banks and fund managers
- Mentor and train one or two analysts
- Write frequently in logical, fluent English, covering:
- Meeting agendas, materials and notes
- Research proposals, executive summaries, and company results
- Macro, industry and thematic research
- Presentations in relation to specific projects
- Correspondence with banks, fund managers and other third parties
- Regular analysis of execution and portfolio and investment performance
