Total Wine & More is seeking an Manager, Family Office Operations to join our Finance & Accounting team in our Bethesda, MD office. This role will play a key role in ensuring that day-to-day operations of the family’s personal finances and assets run smoothly. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational and interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of financial processes, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. You will report to the Director, Family Office.

You will

  • Manage and monitor the family office financial functions, including budgeting, cash management, AP processes, and basic accounting.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures, systems, and controls to improve workflow and manage historical and current data.
  • Manage relationships with external service providers, including contractors, real estate, and other third-party professionals.
  • Ensure that vendors meet performance standards and service level agreements.
  • Oversee the contract management process and ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Manage special projects, including those related to the family’s real estate, investments, and philanthropic endeavors.
  • Coordinate communication between family members, advisors, and internal teams to ensure project milestones and goals are met.

You will come with

  • 5-7 years of operations experience, preferably in an accounting or financial services firm
  • Familiarity with accounting software, such as Quick Books or Sage Intacct
  • Strong project management skills, including attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and proactively coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communicator with ability to consolidate and report information in a timely, transparent, and organized manner.
