POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Accountant performs a variety of professional-level accounting duties involved in preparing, maintaining, analyzing, verifying, and reconciling complex financial transactions, statements, records, and reports. This position is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of ledgers and financial systems as well as assisting in the preparation of assigned budgets, annual audits, and year-end closing. The Senior Accountant ensures the integrity of accounting information by reviewing financial reports prepared by accountants.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Prepares quarterly personal financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information for individual partners in compliance with guarantor reporting requirements.
- Maintain detail bookkeeping for individuals, partnerships, and trust transactions.
- Budgeting, tax, and cash flow planning for individual partners and trust.
- Review monthly financial reports prepared by accountants for corporate businesses, trusts, real estate, and other assets.
- Liaison between internal partners, legal, investment advisors, and public accounting firms.
- Begin to identify estate planning opportunities, and assist with projects related to estate administration.
- Work with team to establish and maintain client operating policies and procedures to ensure accurate reporting and cash management.
- Oversee individual year end reporting including, but not limited to annual filings, audits and tax returns
- Manage the coordination of tax preparation services. Understand how the books and records translate to the tax returns. Participate in tax planning discussions and help prepare supporting schedules.
- Complete special client projects of a complex nature.
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls and promotes ethical environment.
- Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
- Maintains investor confidence and protects operations by maintaining confidentiality.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.

SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- CPA certification is preferred, but not required
- 3-5 years of accounting experience
