Description:
- Conduct comprehensive research and financial analysis on potential investment opportunities across investments, real estate and public/capital markets globally. This includes analyzing company financials, industry trends, competitive landscape, and macroeconomic factors
- Track and monitor the performance of existing investments in the portfolio.
- Provide regular updates on the status of investments and recommend adjustments as needed to align with the family’s financial goals and risk tolerance
- Support the development and execution of asset allocation strategies in line with the family’s risk tolerance, investment horizon, and overall financial objectives. Contribute to discussions on portfolio diversification and rebalancing
- Keep abreast of market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical developments that could impact investments. Provide insights and recommendations to the investment team on how to adapt the portfolio strategy accordingly
- Prepare regular investment performance reports, including detailed analyses of individual investments and portfolio-wide results. Present findings to senior leadership and family members, ensuring transparency and clear communication
- Liaise with external asset managers, advisors, and investment partners to gather information and insights. Assist in evaluating the performance and strategy of third-party managers
Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field. A master’s degree (e.g., MBA) or professional certifications such as CFA
- (Chartered Financial Analyst) would be an advantage
- 2-4 years of experience in investment analysis, private equity, hedge funds, or similar roles within asset management, family offices, or financial services
- Experience with financial modeling, valuation techniques, and performance analysis across various asset classes
- Prior exposure to high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) or family office environments would be an advantage
Strong proficiency in financial analysis and modeling, with advanced skills in - Excel and other financial software tools (e.g. Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar)
- Solid understanding of investment strategies, portfolio construction, and asset classes (equities, fixed income, alternatives, private equity, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small, dynamic team
- Strong intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn
- High level of integrity and discretion, particularly when dealing with sensitive family financial matters
- Proactive, results-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- The position may require occasional travel for on-site due diligence or meetings with external partners
- Although the hours are 8-5 our client is not looking for a ‘clock watcher’ as there are different time zones for global markets and banks you will be working with
- Must currently reside in the UAE
