  • The family office was founded by a successful entrepreneur who built a thriving automotive parts business in mainland China over the past several decades.
  • After establishing a strong financial foundation, the family is now looking to diversify their assets and preserve intergenerational wealth through a professional, multi-strategy investment approach.
  • Headquartered in Hong Kong, the family office will initially focus on managing the family’s own capital, with the potential to expand services to other high-net-worth individuals in the future.
  • The founder has a long-standing presence in Hong Kong and is well-connected within the local business community.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construct and actively manage a diversified investment portfolio spanning public and private markets, with a focus on fixed income, equities, and alternative assets
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify attractive investment opportunities aligned with the family’s objectives
  • Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, making tactical adjustments as needed
  • Collaborate closely with the founder on all investment decisions and strategy
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact the portfolio
  • Prepare comprehensive investment reports and presentations for the family
  • Contribute to the development of the firm’s investment policies and procedures
  • Work closely with external service providers such as custodians, fund administrators, and legal counsel
  • Assist in building out the family office’s infrastructure and operations as needed

The Successful Applicant:

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in investment management, portfolio management, or a similar role, preferably within a family office or high-net-worth focused environment
  • Demonstrated track record of generating consistent, risk-adjusted returns
  • Deep understanding of public and private market investment vehicles, including fixed income, equities, and alternative assets
  • Proficient in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and portfolio optimization
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and work collaboratively with the founder
  • CFA charterholder or pursuing the designation is preferred
  • Fluency in English and Cantonese/Mandarin is required
