Full Job Description:

  • The Family Office Manager will manage financial, legal, insurance, tax, household, philanthropic, and other issues for the Thornburg Family and related entities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage Family Office Executive Assistant/Bookkeeper;
  • Assist and supervise the preparation of financial statements, investment analysis reports, bank reconciliations, cash flow analysis reports, and other financial reports.
  • Coordinate family member meetings, travel, and other family affairs.
  • Ensure all individual, trust, non-profit, and other entity financial transactions and accounting duties are completed on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Manage third party relationships to facilitate tax preparation and planning, including estimate tax calculations and payments.
  • Manage third party relationships to facilitate investment, philanthropic and estate planning services
  • Manage payment of private investment capital calls and preparation of subscription documents for new private investments
  • Supervise management and accounting of domestic and foreign real properties.
  • This role’s work location is fully on-site.
  • This individual will be required to work in the office on a daily basis to fulfill duties.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree – required.
  • Prior experience working in a CPA firm or family office – required.
  • 7-10 years of directly related experience; Prior office management and accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of investment portfolios and analysis.
  • Fluency with accounting software, Microsoft 365 and other programs.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and respond to rapidly changing demand.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and anticipate needs.
  • Must be flexible, able to work efficiently, independently, and proactively.
  • Able to perform detailed independent analysis and articulate results.

Pay: $71.6K – $90.6K a year
