Chief Executive Officer, Schnuck Family Office, St. Louis

The Schnuck Family Office is hiring a Chief Executive Officer to lead operations for the Schnuck family, which includes 78 members across three generations managing approximately 156 entities. The family founded Schnuck Markets, Inc. (115 stores across four states) and the DESCO Group (40+ retail properties). A senior leadership role quarterbacking external advisors and delivering strategic planning, tax and investment oversight, wealth management, governance and family education. Requires 15+ years working with multi-generational families.

Key responsibilities include: leading a staff of approximately five professionals; serving as quarterback for external advisors (attorneys, tax advisors, investment managers, trustees); providing strategic planning and execution of family office services; delivering tax planning, investment oversight and wealth management; supporting family governance, communication and education initiatives; managing legal, trust and estate services coordination; and overseeing technology and family-portal administration.

Required qualifications: a minimum of 15 years working with multi-generational families; broad knowledge across the disciplines of wealth management, especially tax, investments and trust and estate planning; experience with closely held companies and S Corporations; an advanced degree or professional designations preferred (MBA, CPA, CFA, CFP); and exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
