A single family office in Palm Beach is hiring a Deputy CIO to partner with the CIO in managing family investment portfolios across public and private, traditional and alternative asset classes. A senior, hands-on mandate covering strategy, due diligence, risk management, investment committee leadership and direct advisory to the family Principal. The Position: Partner with the CIO to understand the family's investment goals, objectives, policies and priorities, and manage portfolio assets across multiple asset classes.

Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement portfolio strategy with tax optimization - Proactively manage risk across the portfolio to optimize returns while minimizing downside - Assess public and private equity opportunities using fundamental analysis - Participate in the investment committee and quarterly portfolio reviews - Lead due diligence on new partnerships and investments - Lead, recruit and manage the performance of the investment team - Serve as a strategic advisor to the family Principal

Ideal Candidate - Entrepreneurial and style-agnostic investment approach; 20+ years of relevant investment experience across asset classes - Undergraduate degree required; MBA and/or CFA strongly preferred; FINRA licenses preferred - Broad knowledge across all global public and private traditional and alternative asset classes - Strong quantitative skills and investment due-diligence expertise - Family office or ultra-high-net-worth client experience preferred - Excellent communication skills; able to synthesize and communicate complex concepts - Leadership and mentoring experience
