Northern Trust's Global Family Office (GFO) is hiring a Senior Credit Portfolio Manager in Chicago to manage credit product risk and profitability for a portfolio of credit clients - financial and credit analysis, underwriting, credit memoranda, legal documentation, covenant monitoring and mentoring rotational-program partners. Requires 5-7 years in financial and/or credit analysis with strong finance, accounting and investment knowledge.

This office-based role requires on-site performance of duties. The Credit Portfolio Manager manages credit product risk and profitability for a portfolio of credit clients while monitoring loan performance to ensure quality adherence to guidelines.

Key Responsibilities: Manage credit product risk and profitability, monitoring loan performance against guidelines; support Relationship Managers through financial/credit analysis and credit underwriting; research and analyze financial statements and investment holdings, evaluating liquidity, collateral support and creditworthiness; prepare and present written credit memoranda for credit approval; coordinate legal documentation preparation and execution with banking advisors; collect client information, complete financial-statement spreadsheets and prepare projections; implement pricing and covenants and monitor covenant compliance; travel to client locations and participate in virtual meetings; train and mentor rotational development-program partners.

Required Qualifications: 5-7 years in financial and/or credit analysis; in-depth knowledge of finance, accounting and investments; knowledge of applicable industry laws and regulations; analytical and communication skills; personal-computer proficiency.
