An institutional-quality Hong Kong single family office managing a diversified global portfolio is hiring a CIO to lead investment strategy, asset allocation and portfolio management as a trusted adviser to the family. The mandate spans public equities, fixed income, private equity, venture capital, real estate and hedge funds, plus external manager selection, risk frameworks and board-level reporting.

The client is a private, institutional-quality single-family office dedicated to preserving and growing one family's wealth across generations, with a long-term horizon, strong values, privacy and philanthropic goals. The CIO provides oversight of the family's investment strategy, asset allocation and portfolio management, designing and executing a framework aligned with risk tolerance, liquidity needs and multi-generational objectives.

Key responsibilities: - Develop, implement and rebalance global macro asset allocation across public equities, fixed income, private equity, venture capital, real estate and hedge funds - Identify, evaluate and monitor external asset managers, direct investments and co-investments - Establish comprehensive risk-management frameworks for portfolio volatility, market risk and liquidity - Present portfolio performance reports and market outlooks to the Board - Partner with the CEO, tax advisers, legal counsel and estate planners on tax-efficient and succession-aligned investment strategy

Requirements: 15+ years' progressive investment experience within a substantial SFO, MFO, endowment, foundation or institutional asset manager; Bachelor's in Finance, Economics or related field; MBA and/or CFA highly preferred; proven multi-asset success; excellent English and Chinese; absolute discretion and integrity.
