A multi-family office with growing direct, value-add real estate activities is hiring a Development Project Manager to support that expansion. The role coordinates all phases of development projects — competitive tendering and contractor management as owner's representative, budgets and cost tracking, permit applications with local authorities, technical due diligence on acquisitions, and quality and timeline oversight. Requires an architecture or civil-engineering background with 7+ years in Swiss real estate development; fluent French and Swiss German, English preferred.
Key responsibilities include: coordinating all development-project phases; selecting primary service providers through rigorous competitive bidding and managing contracts as owner's representative; developing and managing development budgets while tracking expenditures; supervising and coordinating external stakeholders; preparing permit applications and liaising with local authorities for construction permits; providing regular progress updates and reports; identifying key risks and proposing mitigation actions; ensuring construction quality meets established standards, timelines and client expectations; and supervising technical due diligence for acquisitions and development projects.
Required qualifications: a bachelor's degree in architecture, civil engineering or a related field; a minimum of 7 years' experience in real estate development and project management in Switzerland; strong technical knowledge of construction processes and zoning regulations; excellent negotiation and contract-management skills; the ability to work independently and collaboratively; a willingness for day-trip travel throughout Switzerland; and fluent French and Swiss German, with English preferred.
