The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly organized, client-focused professional to join our Family Office Solutions team as a Family Office Associate. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting families with client service, reporting, administration, and accounting/tax compliance needs.
You will also work in collaboration with our Investment Consulting, Operations, and Compliance teams, gaining exposure to the full range of services we provide. Qualifications
• University degree or college diploma (ideally in finance, economics, business, or a related field)
• Experience (co-op, internship, or full-time) in a financial services organization
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Proficiency using digital tools for task management and documentation
• Strong English writing and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated interest in the wealth management industry
• Bilingualism is an asset
Primary Responsibilities
Client Relationships
• Support the consulting teams with relationship management for existing client families
• Prepare, review, and present materials for client and prospect meetings
• Respond to inquiries from clients and third parties
• Schedule and track client meetings
• Liaise with client families, financial institutions, and service providers to ensure clear communication and timely follow-through
Administration
• Maintain up-to-date records in the firm’s client reporting and relationship management systems
• Prepare and reconcile client reports using internal and external data
• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure all client reporting data is accurate
• Obtain and interpret third-party statements and legal documents to support reporting requirements
• Complete administrative documentation and updates for insurance, banking, and credit needs
• Coordinate vendor payments, cash transfers, CRA remittances, and investment funding requirements
• Develop and implement process enhancements over time to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
Tax Compliance Support
• Prepare and compile tax documents and schedules to support the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns
• Review and reconcile tax slips for personal, corporate, and foundation taxpayers
• Support accounting and tax advisors by responding to inquiries and reviewing draft deliverables
• Assist with CRA audit and assessment reviews
Compensation
• Annual base salary ranging from $60,000 - $75,000 depending on experience
