Head of Finance, Single Family Office (Digital Assets & Crypto), London

A founder-led family office operating in the digital-assets and crypto space is hiring its inaugural senior finance leader (Head of Finance). The role takes complete ownership of the finance function across multiple entities and jurisdictions — reporting, controls, treasury, forecasting and governance — while acting as a strategic adviser to the founders. Suits an ACA/ACCA/CIMA-qualified finance leader from an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment such as trading, hedge funds, asset management, fintech or digital assets.

As the firm's inaugural senior finance leader, you will assume complete ownership of the finance function across multiple entities and jurisdictions. Responsibilities span strategic finance and business partnering (partnering with founders on commercial and strategic decisions; developing budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning; delivering insight into profitability; supporting expansion and investment opportunities); financial control and reporting (owning month-end, management reporting and statutory obligations; building controls and governance frameworks; leading audit, tax and compliance); treasury and capital management (managing liquidity across banking and financial counterparties; overseeing cash-flow forecasting and capital planning; strengthening treasury controls); systems and automation (implementing finance systems and reporting tools; improving financial data quality; streamlining workflows with technology teams); and building the function (designing the finance operating model; establishing scalable processes and policies; recruiting and developing the team).

Required qualifications: an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification; significant post-qualified finance experience; experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments; broad finance responsibilities including reporting, controls, forecasting, treasury and compliance; experience improving or building finance functions, systems or processes; strong commercial judgement and stakeholder-management skills; and a hands-on approach. Particularly relevant backgrounds include proprietary trading, hedge funds, market makers, asset managers, brokerages, commodity trading, fintech, digital-asset/crypto businesses or high-growth founder-led companies.
