Investment Accountant, Single Family Office, Hong Kong

A well-established private single family office in Central, Hong Kong is hiring an Investment Accountant to support its diversified portfolio (listed equities, investment funds, fixed income, structured investments, deposits and other financial assets) and financial operations. The role covers investment record-keeping and reconciliation against bank and custodian statements, performance and fee analysis, asset-allocation and risk monitoring, portfolio reporting, full-set accounting and month-end close, and support for statutory audits and tax filings. Suits a family-office or investment-accounting professional with 4–8 years' experience; English and spoken Cantonese are mandatory.

Key responsibilities include: maintaining investment records and reconciling portfolio holdings against bank and custodian statements; analysing investment performance, income, realised and unrealised movements, and net-of-fee returns; reviewing investment fees, transaction costs and foreign-exchange charges for potential savings; monitoring asset allocation, currency exposure, investment concentration, liquidity and maturity profiles; preparing portfolio reports and investment summaries for senior stakeholders; maintaining full accounting sets, completing month-end closing and reconciling balances; and supporting statutory audits, tax filings and communications with external advisers.

Requirements: a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field; 4–8 years of relevant experience in a family office or similar background; investment accounting, portfolio reporting, securities operations or performance-analysis experience; an understanding of equities, funds, bonds and investment products; sound accounting knowledge and advanced Excel skills; HKICPA, ACCA or a similar qualification (advantageous); and mandatory strong written and spoken English and spoken Cantonese.
