A single family office backed by a technology founder is hiring an Investment Analyst for its Hong Kong team, reporting to the Owner and CIO. The role supports investment research, due diligence, portfolio construction and manager selection, with a focus on hedge funds and public equities in global markets, particularly the technology and internet sectors. Requires 5–10 years' investment experience, a strong hedge-fund or global public-equities background, financial-modelling and valuation skills, and fluency in both English and Chinese.
Key responsibilities include: conducting research and due diligence on hedge fund managers and public-equity opportunities; evaluating portfolio performance and risk profiles across strategies; developing investment recommendations for senior leadership; supporting portfolio construction and asset-allocation decisions; monitoring global markets and sector trends, especially technology and internet; maintaining manager and industry relationships; and supporting thematic projects and ad hoc research.
Requirements: 5–10 years of investment experience in hedge funds, fund of funds, asset management, family offices or research; a strong hedge-fund or global public-equities background, ideally with technology/internet coverage; buy-side experience preferred (sell-side equity research considered); financial-modelling and valuation expertise; fluency in both English and Chinese with strong written and verbal communication skills; the ability to work independently within lean teams; and an interest in technology and innovation-driven investments.
