About the job

The VP, Portfolio Analytics & Reporting will define how the institution sees, measures, and communicates performance of its entire investment portfolio across public markets, private equity, venture capital, real estate, and alternatives. Build and maintain a world-class reporting and analytics function from the ground up with direct visibility to the Board, Trustees, and senior leadership. Combines deep technical expertise in investment performance methodology with executive presence and an engineering mindset to automate and scale.

Major responsibilities include: - Own and maintain investment position and performance reporting methodology and governance across public and private investments - Oversee daily/monthly/quarterly position and performance reporting across asset classes; accuracy, completeness, timely delivery - Maintain automated data pipelines, calculation engines, validation frameworks, and report generation via version-controlled Python - Own public-market attribution (notional/duration adjustments, weighted market return attribution, error-term decomposition) - Own private-markets reporting across PE/VC/RE/private credit (funds and directs); full data collection cycle from GPs/sponsors - Own private-markets cash-flow and commitment reporting (calls, distributions, unfunded/remaining/recallable capital) - Oversee vendor relationships for data collection, portfolio data management, and benchmarks; AI tool adoption - Integrate private markets into total-portfolio analytics (liquidity forecasting, commitment pacing, vintage diversification, J-curve, exposure) - Enhance private investments monitoring (questionnaires, GP letters, valuations) with AI integration - Provide geographic/factor/risk/portfolio-construction visibility to investment team and senior leadership - Oversee pre-tax and after-tax performance reporting with investment, accounting, tax, and operations partners - Own regulatory compliance reporting and pre-/post-trade compliance monitoring within the OMS - Support Valuation Committee quarterly private-asset valuation reviews; align with GIPS 2020 and CFA Institute Standards

Qualifications: 7+ years progressive experience in investment performance reporting (institutional asset owner, asset manager, hedge fund, or fund administrator); production-quality Python and automated pipelines; multi-custodian data environments; familiarity with GIPS 2020 and CFA Institute Standards; bachelor’s in finance, mathematics, computer science or related; ~10% international travel. Preferred: CFA and/or CIPM; prior FO, endowment, SWF, or complex institutional asset-owner experience. Compensation $300,000–$405,000 (inclusive of merit-based bonus) plus benefits.
