Clive Eley

Clive leads investments for the single family office of Mikkel Bülow-Lehnsby, the chairperson and co-founder of leading European sustainable real estate developer NREP (Nordic Real Estate Partners). His main focus is managing a portfolio of direct early-stage investments into companies with radically sustainable technologies that address the climate crisis.

Before moving into family office investing, Clive worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company and holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Oxford, where his research spanned inorganic chemistry, semiconductor nanostructures and photocatalysts. He is also a Mandela Rhodes Scholar.

Clive has experience investing on behalf of single family offices in London, and holds a part-time role at 2150, a sustainable urban technology venture capital fund, where he supports technical due diligence on select deals. He is based in Copenhagen and focuses on trends including the future of cities, sustainable building technologies, carbon capture and storage, green hydrogen, and alternative proteins.
