A Single Family Office is looking to recruit an Investment Manager to join a sophisticated Family Office in North Africa. The position will report to the Head of Asset Management.
The Family Office’s source of wealth stems from a portfolio of successful operating businesses. The Family Office already has a team of highly competent family officers and investment specialists and runs a diversified portfolio consisting of multiple asset classes. The investment strategy is to allocate funds to a number of OCIO’s (outsourced CIO’s).
Objectives:
- The family office’s primary objective is to preserve capital and provide diversification to the family-owned group’s overall portfolio.
- The family office is also responsible for:
- The definition of the asset allocation strategy based on the criteria defined by the Group (liquidity criteria, risk profile, investment horizon) and alongside the OCIO’s
- Oversight of the OCIO’s selection of investments managers (alternative, specific strategies) and/or picking of individual lines of assets (equities, fixed income, commodities)
- Continuous benchmarking of the underlying investment managed by the OCIO’s.
- Stress test of portfolios and identification of risks
- Market analysis and global vision of the investment universe
Responsibilities:
- Financial analysis and valuation (understanding business models, valuation models and sensitivity analyses according to different scenarios)
- Modelling of economic and financial prospective scenarios
- Periodic analysis of the evolution of the financial markets (stock markets and interest rate markets)
- Ongoing analysis of the performance and risk profiles of the various OCIO’s investments into managers and funds
- Stress testing of portfolios using different parameters
- Development of a reporting of aggregated portfolios with different performance indicators and risk
- Preparation of deliverables for boards and investment committees
- Monitoring and periodic review of the Investment Policy and the Strategic Asset Allocation
Successful candidates will be highly analytical and at least at level 2 of CFA qualification (with the aim to complete level 3). Candidates will ideally have experience either working in a Family Office or within a tier one consulting business. Ideal candidate will also come for a top school in their own country.
There is a preference for candidates that have worked or are currently working in Asia or the Middle East.
Remuneration will be commensurate with the duties and demands of the role and the experience of the candidate.
