Full Job Description

Department Overview:

  • The Accounting Department is responsible for recording and reporting the cash flow transactions of a company.
  • This department has key roles and responsibilities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, financial reporting, and maintaining financial controls.

Position Overview:

  • The Family Office Bookkeeper has primary responsibility to maintain accounting and other records for multiple Family LLCs and approx. 43 Trusts.
  • Will interface with Owners, Trust beneficiaries, outside CPAs, and outside Attorneys.
  • The position requires 20 to 30 hours on average per week. Up to 40 hours/week during busy season(s).
  • Can be partially remote.

Essential Functions:

  • Administrating accounting for multiple Family LLC’s and 43 Trusts.
  • Process payments and deposits
  • Enter data into General Ledger
  • Prepare financial reports
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Administer various types of insurance
  • Could also include other administrative duties to assist Owners (such as travel arrangements, personal bookkeeping, coordinating signatures on tax and legal documents, etc..).


  • Prefer candidates with College degree
  • 5 or more years bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency with Quick Books
  • Understanding accounting and financial reporting and On-Line banking administration
  • Position requires high degree of security clearance due to confidential nature of information person will have access to.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Be able to effectively communicate with wide range of ages.
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding discussions, records, files, documents and information

  • Ability to drive process improvement
  • Must possess Valid California Driver’s License and be insurable on enterprise insurance policy

Physical Requirements:

  • Employee must have the ability to walk, talk, hear, see, speak, concentrate, reach in all directions, stoop, bend, lift up to 60 lbs.

Pay: $50 – $65 per hour
