Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster strong, ongoing communication with clients to set clear expectations, ensure their satisfaction, and drive change initiatives effectively.
  • Build lasting client relationships by maintaining a consultative approach and being recognized as the primary point of contact for their needs.
  • Oversee the acquisition, financing, and management of significant assets, ensuring optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with SALT and international tax teams to execute strategic multi-jurisdictional planning.
  • Proactively address staffing and coverage requirements to ensure seamless operations.
  • Partner with leadership to co-lead client onboarding efforts and, when applicable, act as the lead Partner for select accounts.
  • Serve as a trusted mentor and influential leader within the team, fostering growth and development.
  • Perform the final review of officer bonus payrolls processed through loan-out entities.
  • Strategically plan and oversee the management of multiple engagements and client portfolios.
  • Identify and address complex tax matters, including income, gift, and estate tax issues, as they arise.
  • Monitor and mitigate firm risk across engagements and proposals while adhering to budgets and deadlines.
  • Conduct investment analysis and provide comprehensive life-planning support to clients.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree or JD/LLM in Taxation is a plus.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification required.
  • 9+ years of progressive tax experience, including client relationship management and leadership responsibilities.
  • Extensive experience in multi-jurisdictional tax planning, SALT, and international tax strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex client engagements and delivering results on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of income, gift, and estate tax principles.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain client trust.
  • Strong negotiation skills, particularly related to asset purchases and financing.
  • Experience co-leading initiatives, such as client onboarding or major change efforts, alongside partners or senior leadership.
  • Advanced knowledge of tax software, financial tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and reviewing officer bonus payrolls from loan-out entities.
