As a Family Office Advisor, you will get to:

  • Play a pivotal role in coordinating all accounting functions for our esteemed high-net worth individuals/ family clients and their investment entities.
  • With your exceptional skills, you will oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger entries, ensuring meticulous maintenance.
  • Be a key player and take charge of reviewing month-end and year-end financial statements, conducting account reconciliations, analyzing the general ledger, and coordinating annual audits.
  • Make an impact at every turn by managing ad-hoc projects and drafting proposals for engagements.
  • Join our weekly management meetings, where your insights will contribute to driving the goals and objectives of our firm and practice. With your exceptional skills, you will take on “in-charge” responsibilities for our small to mid-size private company family-run business.
  • Your collaboration with the tax department will be essential as you provide crucial information and assist in preparing our clients’ federal and state tax returns.
  • Have the opportunity to develop and nurture connections, ensuring our clients’ satisfaction remains at the forefront of our service. You will motivate and mentor our staff by providing training, regular feedback, and career guidance.

For the Family Office Advisor, you will have:

  • 7 years experience in the industry, preferably as a controller, sage intact/Netsuite & public accounting experience a plus
  • A Master’s degree in accounting/ finance, a solid working knowledge of GAAP financial statements and a non-active/ active CPA license is preferred
  • Demonstrated management and project management experience with increasing levels of responsibility in developing, training, and mentoring junior-level staff
  • Strong operational and technical accounting background, including the ability to research complex technical accounting issues independently, and proficiency in various technological skills is essential.
  • You must be able to navigate through various technologies in this role.
  • Professionalism and discretion in interacting and presenting with firm leadership, client executives, and technical-level audiences with an extensive and diverse accounting background within the family office or for high-net-worth individuals
  • Knowledge of various investment types utilized by high-net-worth individuals, such as managed portfolios and private equity, partnership accounting, and an understanding of how to book the activity.
