The Opportunity
Ginsler Wealth is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Family Office Associate to join a close-knit team and support the delivery of Personal CFO services to ultra-high-net-worth clients. This is an in-office position based in Toronto, with team members typically working 4 to 5 days per week onsite. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the Portfolio Management team and will play a key role in overseeing client financial affairs, including net worth management, financial modeling, tax planning, and coordination with external advisors. This opportunity offers a dynamic, hands-on environment for a CPA and/or CFP professional who is looking to make a meaningful impact in a small team setting.

The Position
Key Responsibilities
- Compile and maintain detailed, accurate net worth statements for clients, updating regularly to reflect changes.
- Develop and update comprehensive financial models to support planning decisions such as retirement, liquidity, and cash flow management.
- Support tax planning by identifying opportunities and working closely with clients’ tax advisors to implement strategies.
- Coordinate with external investment managers to oversee performance, assess alignment with client goals, and support portfolio reviews.
- Assist in evaluating estate planning documents and insurance coverage to ensure plans remain current and aligned with clients’ needs.
- Prepare consolidated financial reports that provide clients with a clear understanding of their financial landscape and actionable insights.
- Serve as a key liaison between clients and their external legal, tax, and insurance advisors to ensure integrated strategy execution.
- Support the CEO and leadership team on ad hoc projects and initiatives as required.
The Ideal Candidate
Qualifications:
- CPA and/or CFP designation required; undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field (MBA considered an asset).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, financial planning, or family office services.
- Technical proficiency in financial modeling, tax planning, and investment coordination.
- Strong understanding of Canadian financial structures and planning tools (e.g., IPPs, corporate entities, registered accounts).
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially with confidential information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial matters clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrated commitment to client service excellence in a high-touch environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); strong aptitude for numbers and problem solving.
- Ability to adapt, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Work Environment:
This is an in-office position. While a minimum of 4 days per week in-office is expected, most employees choose to work on-site full time due to the collaborative nature of the team and client demands.
