Our client is a privately held family office committed to managing the financial, administrative, and personal affairs of a high-net-worth family. With a focus on confidentiality, professionalism, and operational excellence, the family office provides a broad array of services, including financial accounting, tax coordination, investment administration, estate planning, and philanthropic support. The team is dedicated to delivering timely, accurate, and trusted financial reporting and operational support, tailored to the evolving needs of the family.
The Opportunity
The Family Office is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced **Bookkeeper** to join its team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting the day-to-day operations of the office, and handling special projects as needed. The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on, proactive mindset and a strong foundation in bookkeeping and administrative best practices, with the flexibility to operate in either a full-time or part-time capacity.

Family Office Manager / Director of Finance
The Position
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledgers and subsidiary accounts for various entities associated with the family office.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, record journal entries, and manage cash disbursements and bank reconciliations.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including preparation of trial balances and account schedules.
- Coordinate with internal team members and external advisors (CPAs, legal counsel, investment administrators) to support audit, tax preparation, and compliance processes.
- Support document management by organizing, scanning, and filing digital and physical records in accordance with internal protocols and confidentiality standards.
- Provide light administrative support including invoice tracking, vendor communications, and maintaining financial logs.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and reporting needs, including historical reconciliations, transaction tracking, or support during transitions or restructuring initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, preferably in a family office, private wealth, or small business accounting environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial systems, and general ledger maintenance.
- Professional demeanor, discretion, and a demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (especially Excel and Word); experience with Adobe Acrobat and electronic documentation systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated and highly organized with the ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) is strongly preferred.
Compensation
Salary range: $55,000 – $95,000 annually (commensurate with experience, geographic location, education, and full-time or part-time status). Compensation includes potential for annual review and performance-based adjustments.
