The Opportunity

At CIBC, we’re building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world. As a Family Office Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering highly customized support to our ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients and their family offices. This role is designed for a detail-oriented professional who thrives on excellence, collaboration, and providing exceptional client service. You will oversee consolidated reporting, document management, and expense management solutions, working in partnership with clients, their staff, relationship managers, and internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding, implementation, and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operations, inquiries, and escalations related to Family Office services; oversee a select portfolio of UHNW clients and family offices, ensuring the highest standards of service and satisfaction.

  • Platform Leadership: Lead clients through seamless transitions to the SEI Archway platform, managing preparation, execution, and follow-up of client service agreements.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with SEI Archway teams, relationship managers, and advisors to deliver on client requirements, build internal awareness of Family Office offerings, and drive adoption.

  • Expertise & Education: Act as a subject matter expert on Family Office solutions; provide ongoing education and updates to internal business partners and advisors to increase understanding and effective utilization.

  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor client needs and proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and prevent recurring issues.

  • Service Excellence: Maintain a client-focused mindset, adapting quickly to evolving client demands and delivering solutions that align with their unique circumstances.

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

  • 5–10 years of experience in investment performance, public accounting, or fund accounting.

  • Strong technical background with accounting systems; SEI Archway and First Rate preferred.

  • Solid understanding of investment performance calculations (TWR, XIRR) and trust accounting principles.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Detail-Oriented Professional: Expertise in monthly/quarterly closes, reconciliations, journal entries, and expense reporting.

  • Effective Communicator: Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for clients, intermediaries, and colleagues at all levels.

  • Analytical Problem Solver: Adept at conducting root cause analysis and implementing controls to prevent recurring issues.

  • Collaborative Team Player: Flexible and adaptable in both independent and team settings; committed to meeting the evolving needs of clients and relationship managers.

  • Technology & Presentation Savvy: Proficient in MS Office applications; capable of delivering clear and engaging presentations.

Compensation & Benefits

CIBC offers a competitive total rewards package. For Indiana-based roles, the expected salary range is $110,000 – $135,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may include participation in the business unit’s incentive compensation plan and a discretionary bonus.
