  • The Financial Data Analyst will be responsible for managing day-to-day data aggregation, curation, and structuring tasks.
  • A key focus of this role is on continuous process improvement and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Management and Analysis:
  • Collect, process, and analyze investment data from various sources.
  • Maintain investment data accuracy and integrity.
  • Manage Alteryx workflows and investment data imports into Sage Intacct.
  • Reconcile investment data, including transactions, valuations, and cash movements with custodians and investment managers.
  • Accounting Task Ownership
  • Perform general accounting tasks related to investment operations, including preparing journal entries for investment transactions and valuations.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Support annual audit preparations.
  • Collaborate with the tax team to ensure proper tax treatment and reporting of investment activities.
  • Aid in the automation of accounting processes and reporting.
  • Investment Administrative Tasks
  • Aggregate and file monthly, quarterly, and annual bank, custodian, and private equity statements and tax documents electronically.
  • Communicate with custodians and investment managers as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in data science, accounting, or finance is required.
  • An advanced degree or certification (e.g., CAP, MBA, CPA) is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Public Accountant, Investment Accountant, or in a similar role.
  • Experience with partnership and investment accounting preferred.
  • Proficient with data analytics or business intelligence software such as Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Power Automate, and SharePoint.
