Director – Global Family Office (LatAm)

Apollo’s Client & Product Solutions (CPS) group plays a critical role in delivering Apollo’s strategies to a diverse investor base, building long-term relationships across multiple geographies and wealth segments. The Global Family Office (GFO) team within CPS is a key strategic focus, and the firm is seeking to grow its presence in Latin America through this appointment.
The Opportunity
Apollo is seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Director to join the Global Family Office team within the Client & Product Solutions business. This individual will focus on developing and executing the Latin America strategy, partnering closely with the GFO LatAm Lead to build meaningful client relationships and deliver Apollo’s full platform of investment offerings. The Director will be expected to contribute immediately to investor engagement, marketing strategy, and fundraising initiatives. The role offers significant leadership potential over time and the opportunity to operate within one of the industry’s most sophisticated private capital platforms.

The Position
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the GFO LatAm Lead to develop and execute Apollo’s business development and client service strategy for the Latin American region.
- Develop a nuanced understanding of regional family office dynamics and align Apollo’s offerings with client investment objectives.
- Collaborate with internal investment and product teams to acquire deep knowledge of Apollo’s strategies across private equity, credit, and real assets.
- Effectively position Apollo’s products to family offices and ultra-high-net-worth clients using a commercial, client-first approach.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of fundraising activities, including roadshows, events, and client meetings.
- Maintain high-quality communication with prospects and clients across channels, including written updates, presentations, and in-person interactions.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members; foster a collaborative “One Apollo” culture.
- Represent Apollo’s brand and values with integrity, professionalism, and deep product knowledge in all LatAm client engagements.
The Ideal Candidate
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of financial services experience, ideally with exposure to or direct coverage of Latin America.
- Background in private equity, alternative investments, wealth management, or multi-asset investment platforms preferred.
- Proven track record in fundraising, investor relations, or client development with sophisticated investors.
- Deep investment acumen and ability to effectively represent complex investment strategies across asset classes.
- Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial instincts and a client-first orientation.
- Team-oriented, collaborative approach with the ability to lead initiatives and also take direction as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; poised and effective in high-stakes client interactions.
- Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese a plus.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the LatAm region and key global financial centers.
- Bachelor’s degree required; post-graduate degree preferred.
- FINRA Series 7 and 66 required (or ability to obtain promptly).
- Additional credentials such as CFA, CAIA, or CIMA preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/databases.
Compensation:
Base salary range: $175,000 – $235,000 USD
This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and firm performance. Final compensation will depend on experience, seniority, and geographic considerations. Apollo offers a comprehensive benefits package and equity participation where applicable.
