Head of Family Office
The Client
Our client is a family office embedded within the principal’s operating business, which serves as the parent company for a diverse portfolio of businesses in the United States and internationally. For the past decade, the family office has played a central role in managing family affairs, particularly lifestyle and concierge services for the principals. Following the 2023 sale of the family’s primary operating business, the family office is undergoing a strategic transformation to become a scalable, multi-generational platform that will serve current and future generations.
This new chapter brings an opportunity to redefine the family office’s structure, mission, and operations—rooted in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and a commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With rising-generation family members now beginning to raise families of their own, the family is focused on long-term legacy planning, values-based governance, and sustainable impact.
The Opportunity
This role offers a unique and compelling opportunity for a seasoned family office executive to lead a transformation journey, helping the family evolve its office from a lifestyle support function into a future-ready multi-generational institution. The Head of Family Office will report directly to the principals and serve as a strategic partner, trusted advisor, and primary point of contact.
This role will lead the operationalization of a future-state family office through the development of governance structures, workflows, policies, and services aligned with the family’s purpose, values, and strategic goals. The Head of Family Office will also serve on the Krause Family Office Advisory Board, contributing to broader family strategic planning and oversight.
The successful candidate will bring a blend of hands-on operational expertise, governance acumen, and an ability to navigate complex family dynamics, with a deep understanding of best practices in single and multi-family office environments.
