Investment Associate – Family Office

The Client
Our client is a sophisticated family office managing over $5 billion in assets across a globally diversified portfolio. With exposure to public equities, fixed income, private equity, venture capital, and alternative investments, the office operates with a long-term, institutional mindset. The investment team maintains a disciplined, research-driven approach and seeks to add a high-performing Investment Associate to support portfolio management, research, and execution across asset classes.

The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity for a talented investment professional to join a lean, high-impact team within one of the most respected family offices globally. The role is ideal for someone with 2–5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or venture capital, who is looking to work across both direct and fund investments, with exposure to the full investment lifecycle. The Investment Associate will support decision-making through financial modeling, research, and execution support while contributing to long-term portfolio strategy and special projects.

The Position

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of a multi-asset portfolio with exposure to public equities, fixed income, venture capital, private equity, and fund allocations.
  • Conduct financial modeling, market research, and competitive benchmarking on new investment opportunities, with an emphasis on media and technology sectors.
  • Assist with due diligence and evaluation of direct deals, fund investments, and co-investment opportunities.
  • Monitor and review existing portfolio holdings, including performance tracking, monthly reporting, and oversight of trusts and investment entities.
  • Coordinate across internal departments (legal, accounting, tax) and manage external communications with GPs, co-investors, and fund managers.
  • Contribute to investment committee materials and participate in strategy sessions as required.
  • Execute ad hoc research projects to support asset allocation decisions, macroeconomic analysis, and emerging investment themes.

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of professional experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or asset management.
  • Strong academic credentials with a bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution; CFA designation or progress is a plus.
  • Excellent financial modeling and valuation skills; high proficiency in Excel and comfort with large data sets.
  • Demonstrated analytical rigor, intellectual curiosity, and a strong understanding of investment principles across asset classes.
  • Experience working with alternative investments and familiarity with manager selection or due diligence is advantageous.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently while collaborating across a distributed team.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with professional maturity and discretion.
