About Us:

• We are a newly formed, small family office focused on managing several operating business investments and family financial matters.
• We offer a dynamic, collaborative work environment where you will gain hands-on experience in financial modeling, strategy, and investment management.
• The office is located in the Columbus Square area of Manhattan, with the option to work remotely 50% of the time.

Role Overview:

• We are seeking a Junior Accountant with at least two years of public accounting experience to join our growing team.
• This role will focus on preparing, reconciling, and reviewing monthly accounting reports for multiple business investments and the family office.
• You will serve as a key liaison between the family office, outside CPA firms, and other advisors.
• The Junior Accountant will work directly under the owner, who is also a CPA, and will provide mentorship to candidates pursuing their CPA license.
• You will also collaborate with other team members on financial modeling and strategy projects related to investments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, reconcile, and review monthly accounting reports for various business investments.
• Manage day-to-day accounting tasks and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Liaise with external CPA firms and financial advisors to ensure compliance and accuracy in reporting.
• Assist in financial modeling and strategic investment projects alongside the internal team.
• Support the development and implementation of accounting processes and systems to improve efficiency.
• Report directly to the owner of the family office and assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of two years of accounting experience (required).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Experience:

• Public accounting: 2 years (Required)

License and Certification:

• CPA (Preferred)

Pay: $50,000 a year
