The Opportunity
This opportunity is ideal for a tax professional looking to work with an established yet innovative team, supporting high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and private business groups. As a Manager in PwC Private’s Family Office, Tax division, you will advise clients on complex tax structures, compliance matters, and family advisory strategies while overseeing a high-performing team. The Position
Key Responsibilities
- Advise high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and privately-owned businesses on complex tax matters including restructures, Division 7A, CGT, trust losses, and tax-effective structuring.
- Deliver comprehensive tax compliance, planning, and advisory services across multiple entity types—trusts, companies, partnerships, and individuals.
- Provide family advisory solutions, including succession planning, estate planning, and wealth preservation strategies.
- Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) under the Top 500 and Next 5000 programs, supporting audit and risk reviews.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of sophisticated clients, developing long-term, trusted relationships.
- Mentor junior team members, contributing to professional development and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions that address both business and family wealth objectives.
The Ideal Candidate
Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Tax, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
- CA or CPA designation required; Master of Tax or other postgraduate study is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in public practice or a private wealth/family office tax role.
- Strong technical expertise in Australian tax law, compliance, and advisory for high-net-worth individuals and complex family groups.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; able to build rapport and influence outcomes with clients and colleagues.
- Team-oriented, with a track record of mentoring and developing junior staff.
- Solutions-focused mindset; comfortable navigating complexity with clarity and precision.
