The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Personal CFO / Wealth Advisor to lead client relationships, deliver exceptional service, and design and implement wealth management strategies that align with clients’ life goals. Acting as a trusted advisor, this individual will oversee all aspects of the client relationship, leveraging internal and external resources to provide integrated planning across investments, estate planning, tax, risk management, philanthropy, and cash flow management.

The Position

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Personal CFO for clients, leading the relationship, delivering a remarkable experience, and managing the client’s personalized wealth management plan — their “Life Plan.”

  • Leverage internal and external resources to achieve client objectives across investment management, estate planning, tax planning, cash flow planning, risk management, and philanthropic planning.

  • Communicate the firm’s value proposition to prospective clients and establish Brighton Jones as their trusted financial advisor.

  • Cultivate and expand relationships with centers of influence (attorneys, CPAs, etc.) to create new business opportunities.

  • Represent Brighton Jones at community events, industry conferences, and public speaking engagements.

  • Lead a local client service team, ensuring collaboration and excellence in client retention and satisfaction.

  • Support new client acquisition by partnering with the Business Development team and generating referrals from existing relationships.

  • Provide teammates with timely feedback, mentoring, and development opportunities to maximize potential and support career growth.

  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs, coaching team members on financial planning strategies.

  • Support Brighton Jones’ mission by using creativity, objectivity, and passion to help clients, colleagues, and communities “live richer lives.”

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation required.

  • 6+ years of experience in financial or estate planning, preferably within a wealth management or financial services firm.

  • Expertise in estate, tax, retirement, insurance, investment, and cash flow planning.

  • Strong integrity and unquestioned commitment to client service.

  • Self-starter with high motivation and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive projects while collaborating with a close-knit professional team.

  • Full-time, in-office role (with flexibility); exempt position.

Compensation

  • Pay: $130,000 – $300,000 per year
