  • KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Family Office Tax practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and review of Federal and State Partnership and LLC tax returns as well as less complicated s-corps and c-corps tax returns
  • Knowledge primarily of investment management companies and smaller investment partnerships
  • Experience working with excel and preparing tax allocations in GORS tax software and understanding pass-through entity taxes (PTET for NY NJ and CT)
  • Oversee a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the point of contact for various clients; advise clients and be responsible for delivering high quality tax service and advice
  • Lead tax professionals and assistants working on client projects
  • Participate in and contribute to group trainings; key understanding of partnership issues and ability to train others; participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of recent C-Corp, S-Corp and/or Partnership tax experience in an accounting firm, corporate tax department and/or law firm
  • Bachelor’s degree, JD/LLM in taxation and/or Master’s in taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university
  • Experience with tax issues and considerations relating to formation and operation of corporations and partnerships
  • Proven experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams
  • Excellent advisory, compliance, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information
