Full Job Description

  • The Family Office Services Division at PKF O’Connor Davies provides accounting, reporting, cash management, bill payment, investment monitoring and oversight, tax planning and compliance, and other services to affluent individuals, families, and executives and their businesses.
  • The Supervisor or Manager will be responsible for accounting, financial reporting, client service, and special projects to ensure full client expectations are achieved.
  • This individual must be able to work in a rapidly changing environment and provide a timely, high-quality, and accurate work product.

Essential Duties:

  • Perform and oversee accounting services for clients including but not limited to preparing entity and personal financial statements and customized reports, cash flow reporting and budgeting, and Trust and Estate Accounting/Administration.
  • Perform and/or oversee client administrative services such as banking, cash management, and bill payment, employee management/payroll processing, and document management.
  • Execute other client services as needed including but not limited to asset purchases, sales, and financing transactions, contract monitoring/compliance, insurance monitoring and oversight, and residence
  • Prepare/maintain and review accounting records, general ledgers, bank and investment reconciliations, work papers, and other supporting records.
  • Provide communication and support for client requests and inquiries.
  • Coordinate tax processing with the tax department, prepare tax
  • Train and supervise staff accountants and
  • Participate in Firm and Family Office Division projects and
  • Work closely with managers and directors to ensure deadlines are met and all issues or discrepancies are reported and resolved promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; MS degree a plus.
  • 5 – 10 years experience in accounting and tax (public accounting firm experience preferred).
  • Supervisor candidates – CPA license preferred.
  • Manager candidates – Active CPA license required.
  • Personal and business financial statement
  • Knowledge of investment accounting and
  • Some tax experience with an emphasis on individual, trust, and partnership
  • Experience working with affluent individuals, families, executives, and owners of closely held businesses
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong work
  • Excellent computer skills including QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed to meet client deliverables.
  • Ability to travel locally to clients may be required.

Pay: $90,000 – $115,000 a year
