Full Job Description
Overview:
- The Wealth Portfolio Manager – Family Office is responsible for the construction, oversight, management, and execution of the investment portfolios for complex ultra-high net worth multi-family relationships as assigned.
- This person is also responsible for clearly communicating portfolio performance and achievement of stated objectives with clients and their advisors.
- This person will deliver a high degree of business professionalism that will enhance the families’ experience, and positively impact client retention and potential new business efforts.
- This person is expected to work in deep collaboration with the family team including the Chief Investment Officer, Director of Wealth Strategy, and the JKM Family Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage family investment portfolios, in coordination with the CIO, within the scope of the total relationship and individual investment objectives/guidelines.
- Comprehensive analysis and functional understanding of how family accounts interrelate and how Investment Policy Statements work within various account types.
- Understand the purpose of each family entity and work collaboratively with the family team to craft cash flow strategies that allow purposeful investment strategies.
- Deliver a distinctive client experience that leverages our unique value proposition by providing investment management and cash flow analysis within the context of the total portfolio.
- Understand, monitor, recommend, and construct appropriate investment strategies to meet the client’s long-term financial goals and objectives.
- Actively manage inherent risks by adhering to internal policies and procedures, regulatory and statutory requirements, and exercising sound judgment.
- Utilize portfolio risk management methods to ensure adequate risk/reward balance in client portfolios.
- Understand the investment strategies constructed internally, the products available to clients, and the research resources available to portfolio managers to successfully execute investment strategies on behalf of clients.
Job Requirements – Education, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience directly working in the investment field.
- A combination of appropriate education and experience will be considered.
- Understanding of fiduciary role and mechanics of managing trust portfolios.
- Proven knowledge of investment management and financial planning.
- Industry-specific professional certifications or advanced degrees highly desired; CFA, CAIA, MBA, MSF
- Understanding and strong working knowledge of MS Office products; ability to effectively use Bank and Wealth Operating Systems.
Pay: $143K – $181K a year
